OTBI - DFF attribute number transform into CHAR

Hello
We have created a flex field in PER_ASG under the data type 'Number'. There is a value set linked to this with different values in CHAR. We now want to build an OTBI report with this flexfield but the values returned in the report are only ID's, not text.
Despite many efforts, we were not able to show the results as text. Does anyone have a solution for this or is the issue related to the fact that the flex field is set up as 'Number'?
