Non Fusion Data into FDI

@Krishna Prasad Kotti-Oracle @Dayne-Oracle @JohnW-Oracle
Appreciate if anyone can assist here please?
We are currently subscribed to FDI – ERP Analytics and are exploring options to integrate non-Fusion data into the FDI environment.
Could you please advise on any potential implications, licensing requirements, or known customer use cases where FDI is being leveraged to bring in non-ERP data?
This insight would greatly help us in shaping a broader FDI adoption strategy across the wider organization.
We understand there are other analytics tools capable of ingesting external data, which is why we are evaluating the feasibility and benefits within the FDI context.

Hi @PRATHEEK,
That's a very good question; Thanks for posting.
I'm not sure about the licensing requirements and leaving it for the Experts to suggest; but I saw following docs which might be useful for the initial understanding.
Hope this help.
Thank you.

Hi @PRATHEEK,
As Bhaskar mentioned, someone else will need to chime in regarding the licensing question or you could talk to your salesperson about that.
To add to Bhaskar's comments, one of the main advantages of FDI is the ease of integrating external data and in my experience most customers are doing that. We could probably give better feedback with more detail on what the source will be and the amount of data coming from that source.
Will the other data source(s) be live transactional systems or a one-time merge from a legacy system? Will the format be a csv file or a table in a database?
Regards,
John

Hi @PRATHEEK, FDI has been built with extensibility in mind. You can certainly connect to a number of different data sources to conduct your analysis in FDI. Take a look at Manage Data Connections in Administering Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence .
I´d say that most customers indeed bring in external data into FDI. So when you ask about use cases, every customer has their own and possibilities are endless.
As for licensing requirements, FDI allows for 50GB of external data included with the standard license. You can find more information at About Scaling Resources section in Administering Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence .0
