In OAC classic, when using the catalog to rename an object an option is presented to "Preserve references to old name of this item". This option is very helpful so that published and saved links to that item do not break after the rename.
This same option is lacking in OAC's main catalog rename function. Please consider providing this feature from Classic also in the main catalog.
