OBIEE rpd will not show create new subject area option
Hi,
I am new no newbie to rpd modelling.
I have been editing an OBIA rpd in offline mode on my own pc and it was fine, but now, with no errors on run global consistency, I do not get the 'Create New Subject Area' option when I right click in the presentation area white space.
Can this be windows rights or something, I am not in read only mode but this worked yesterday and materially nothing has changed.
Any suggestions please?
thanks,
Robert.

Hi,
Please try below path
BMM layer --------> Right Click On Business Model--------->Select "Create Subject Areas for Logical star & Snowflake"--->Ok

Hi,
Sorry, this is NOT an option because this is modelling against the OBIA rpd which has a truly massive business model called 'Core' which contains pretty much everything....
thanks for your input.
Robert.

Just found my own fix.
And this is really 'dumb'.
The presentation layer is very long.
I noticed that when I cick in the white space to the right of the subject areas that the subject area that had focus in the presentation layer did not lose focus. This meant that the short cut menu presented was contextually related to the existing subject area,
The only way that I found to get the subject area to lose focus was to drop the scroll bar right down to the bottom of the screen and click in the white space below the last table. The right click menu then gives me create new subject area.
Yes. Really. Dumb.
