OAS - Owner-Independent DV Dataset Object IDs

Hi Team,

In OAS DV, datasets are always identified using the dataset object ID, which is generated as <OWNER_NAME>.<DATASET_NAME>. The owner is defined as the user who created the dataset or the user who migrated it using an export from one environment to another.

Because of this, the underlying objects such as analyses, prompts, and BI Publisher data models that are built on top of a DV dataset always depend on the owner who created it. Ideally, the dataset object ID should be unique—as intended—but not tied to the owner.

Is this enhancement already planned for an upcoming release?

@Kartik Mali-Oracle What you pointed in your Idea is a pain point, we are fighting on our OAS environments (when "migrating" from Dev to Prod) for pretty long time (seamless incremental deployment of DV objects between environments , which comes hand in hand with better form of internal Ids of DV objects) and I am pointing to this product gap for pretty long time. Recently I had a call with @Bret Grinslade - Oracle Analytics-Oracle and @Adam Bloom-Oracle and there are some improvements on the way in this area, but things are going very slowly (taking urgency for us into consideration). There will be (hopefully) some features included into OAS 2026, but other "pieces of the puzzle" will be (probably) implemented within 2026, thus for OAS in OAS 2027. So @Bret Grinslade - Oracle Analytics-Oracle and @Adam Bloom-Oracle are the most competent persons who should address/reply to your Idea.
