Issue

There is only 1 heading on the site, users expect headings to be used across the page to help those who require heading levels to navigate. There are some items we would expect to be heading levels, eg 'folders' or 'tasks'

Business Justification

The WCAG (v2.2) is an internationally recognised set of recommendations developed by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) to make digital content—such as websites, apps, and documents—more accessible to people with disabilities.

WCAG standards are a legal accessibility requirement in the UK. Oracle products are expected to adhere fully to these standards, and the exclusion of any tool or module from compliance is not permissible.

The current position means that this item is not meeting legislative requirements, which is a significant compliance concern.

Oracle are aware of the accessibility failings with BI Publisher and will look into resolving these in the future. As part of this process, UoE, Oracle Accessibility team and Oracle CSS will log a number of ERs and have regular customer with UoE on progress.
