Oracle Fusion HCM BI Publisher does not currently preserve image Alternative Text from RTF templates when generating Word/DOCX output. Oracle Support has confirmed this as the expected current behavior, with no configuration available to enable it.
As a result, Word Accessibility Checker flags the generated images as missing Alt Text, which impacts screen-reader users and accessibility compliance.
The requested enhancement is for BI Publisher to preserve the image Alt Text already defined in the source RTF when generating DOCX files.
This would support organizations that require both editable Word output and accessible documents.
