Enable “Keep Selected” for Parent-Child (Value-Based) Hierarchies

Idea Description

Currently, the “Keep Selected” functionality is supported only for level-based hierarchies.

When applied to value-based (Parent-Child) hierarchies, the selection is ignored by design. Although this is not a defect, this limitation directly impacts usability in real-world analytical scenarios.

Parent-Child hierarchies are widely used to represent organizational structures, account hierarchies, cost centers, and financial reporting trees. In these cases, consistent filtering behavior is expected.

The need to rely on manual filter panel workarounds reduces report interactivity and overall user experience.

Proposed Enhancement

Extend “Keep Selected” support to value-based (Parent-Child) hierarchies, or provide an optional configuration setting that enables this behavior.
