Enable AI Agents to Support Multiple Subject Areas with Shared Policies and Instructions
While evaluating the AI Agent capability in Oracle Analytics Cloud, we observed that an AI Agent can currently be configured against only a single dataset or subject area.
In our organization, we extensively use multiple Subject Areas within the semantic model, and business reporting frequently requires combining them to deliver complete analytical views. For example, Receivables data is maintained separately at header and line levels, and Billing and Tax data reside in distinct subject areas that are commonly integrated for reporting.
In such scenarios, AI policies, governance rules, and behavioral instructions must apply consistently across all related subject areas.
Limiting AI Agents to a single subject area reduces scalability and increases configuration overhead.
We propose enhancing AI Agents to support multiple related subject areas under a unified configuration, enabling consistent policy enforcement and stronger support for enterprise semantic models.
