Hi

I am importing Essbase cube in to obiee 12c and I wanted to convert measure dimension to flat measures. but I am unable to find it when doing it in 12c obiee admin tool. in 11g it was definitely possible.

Does anybody have the same issue or is that a bug? please share some lights.

Thanks

MM

    Hi Gianni Ceresa,

But for some reason i cannot find it in my import. Is there any configs that i need to perform to get this in 12c.

    Hi

After playing bit more time, I found it.  Account dimension is a Measure dimension, by default comes up as type = other.

after setting up the Account dimension type as measure dimension and set hierarchy type is value, then the convert measure dimension to flat measures option is appeared now.

So that's precisely the same as in 11....

    yes Christian Berg,

Usually this option appears immediately after importing essbase cube in 11g, but in 12c without setting up manually from unbalanced to measure dimension. this option of convert measures to flat measure is unavailable.

    Ofcourse the concept is same.

  • In 12c I have that option right after importing a cube. That's how the screenshot was done: import, right click and there it is.

If the dimension doesn't come with the correct type it's more a design issue of your cube. And of course it's obvious it require a dimension to be flagged as measures for the option to exist. As Christian said, same as 11g. Nothing changed here.

Thanks for clarification Gianni Ceresa. I will check with Hyperion team.

Not immediately if the dimension type isn't correct.
