Hi,

We have integrated OBIEE 12c with EBS12.1 for authentication purpose. After login to EBS system and navigating to BI sometimes we are getting message and we need to restart OBIEE services for successful login.

Message after navigating OBIEE from EBS login :-

You are not currently signed in to the Oracle BI Server.

If you have already signed in, your connection might have timed out, or a communications or server error may have occurred.

To sign in again, click here. If the problem persists, please contact the site's administrator.

We similarly have hit this issue. Our client has an SR with Oracle but currently no resolution.

Did you manage to solve the issue?

I have finally been able to make work that eBS R12 user can be logged into BI 12c BUT the problem is that it only work for the first time after BI12c services are restarted.

After couple of minutes after restart user can not login anymore and I get the same error "You are not currently signed in to the Oracle BI Server....."

If I restart BI12c services again login work but just for a couple of minutes.

I think the problem is somewhere in initialization block..

Can samobody explain how should the init block look like?

Do you need to have 2 init blocks like explained in "OBIEE 12c: Integrating OBIEE 12c with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Security (Doc ID 2174747.1)"?

Or is only 1 init block enough like in "OBIEE 12c : EBS / OBIEE 12c Integration Missing Steps (Doc ID 2141505.1)"?

The documentation is really confusing and not complete and even these extra MOS notes are just contradictory..

What is finally the right init block for eBS integration?

Hi,

Just an update if somebody else is struggling with this issue..

I finally managed to solve the issue. Of course it was a bug and it is solved by applying patch 25312652.

Yes, patch will resolve this issue.

What we came around is EBS integration with OBIEE12c will not support Data visualizer. So if you are integrating EBS make sure you can only accesss analytic URL. Because DV URL is separate and need only BI authentication.

We have dropped plan of integrating EBS with OBIEE12c due to this issue.

Best option is to implement OAM for SSO option.

what errors are you getting?

we are integrate with EBS 12.1.3 and obiee 12c.

And can launch VA.

Our apache /proxy server is ssl terminated.

Are you integrating eBS & BI via ICX_SESSION_COOKIE (as in note 2174747.1)?

Can you point me to the document which you followed to implement integration with VA in this way?

..as far as I know this is not possible.

Of course you can launch VA, but it prompts you to enter credentials (e.g. weblogic)..

Hi Jacob,

Am not sure if this will help. But, our issue was linked to Weblogic.

I had set WebLogic Plug-In Enabled: to yes

1) Navigate to

Environment -> Servers -> BI_server1

2) Choose "Configuration" tab and expand Advance at the bottom of the screen and set value to yes (make sure you click on "Lock & Edit" to be able to modify). The restart server ..

Btw, I enable this value for Admin too (in my case).

As a result I was able to login with VA using the Weblogic username and password. Only downside is that it did SSO through using by EBS accounts used with ICX_SESSION_COOKIE. However, when prompted with the username and password of web logic, it worked.
