Customer would like to request that IBM DB2 12.x be added as a supported data source for Oracle Analytics Server.
They hope that it will be included as a certified and supported data source in the next(Year 2027 ) OAS release.
Background:
The customer is currently operating a reporting and analysis platform using Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) 8.2.
Currently, they are using IBM DB2 11.5 as their data source, but considering the DB2 product lifecycle and security/vulnerability response policies, they are considering upgrading to IBM DB2 12.x.
However, based on currently available information, they have not been able to confirm whether IBM DB2 12.x is supported by OAS, which is a challenge in their upgrade plan.
The customer believes that the best-case scenario would be for support to be added to their current OAS 8.2, but they are also able to accommodate an OAS version upgrade if necessary.
However, since the customer will need a certain amount of time for pre-verification, connection testing, and migration preparation, it would be beneficial for their plan if they could obtain certification, or at least provide a support policy, by the next OAS release (expected around February-March 2027).
