I am trying to install OBIEE 11.1.1.7 Admin Tool on Windows 10.

I get an error during the InstallAnywhere process, as documented in Document 2216910.1.

As per the workaround, I changed the executable properties so it runs in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode.

This allowed me to get passed the InstallAnywhere process but it never moves on to the next step in the process.

I assume InstallAnywhere is simply extracting installation files.

Is there anyway to run that part of the installation manually?

Hi,

You probably linked the wrong Document ID ...

The 11.1.1.7 Admin tool isn't certified for Windows 8, 8.1 or 10. Just because they didn't existed when the tool has been developed.

The 11.1.1.7 just doesn't work on Windows 10.

If you search the forum you will see that many tried to make it, all failed.

Some managed to get the install done but the Admin tool take ages to open and fail to do things.

Get yourself a Windows 7 VM and install the Admin tool there inside, will take less time and just work as that's the correct OS for the 11.1.1.7 Admin tool.
