AR Invoice Aging Reports

We are using OBIA(11.1.1.8) financial module and built the AR invoice Aging report from Financial - AR Invoice Aging subject Area.

Currently, the Aging is calculated based on Current date but my business is looking Aging based on GL date.

For Ex: If user creates invoice on Jan 5th with GL and Invoice date as 31st Dec then the expectation is to have these invoices aged in December Period. But in OBIA, its designed to Age based on current date, the invoices created on Jan 5th will be part of JAN Period instead of DEC period.

I have raised SR on this, but did not get solution to this issue. Could you please let me know if you have done any customization to make it work based on GL date,

Thanks

Off the top of my head:  you could mimic the one fact with a custom one that has the GL date in the grain and not the Create date; OR you could add the GL data as a custom column to the OOTB fact (be very careful that you do this properly so any upgrades apply to OOTB and don't erase your customization)

The OOTB Aging design in ODI is implemented such that monthly snapshot is stored based on current date. So, in my case if the invoices are created on Jan 7th with GL Date as 31st Dec then how to customize the OOTB logic so that it works on GL Date. Kindly share if you have any tech note on this implementation,

I suggest you enlist the aide of an OBIA implementation partner ... there's no way I can walk you through a change like this over a forum.  Your risk to upgrading is too high if it's not done properly. Partners usually have a customization approach and you should select based on comfort level to that.
