I am working to customize the AR Invoice report to change the logo. I followed the steps that are advised for report Customization but I see the above error while uploading the customized report.

Please advise.

Steps that I performed:

1. Login to the Application

2. Navigated to Reports and Analytics

3. Navigated to the Report folder Shared Folder\Financials\Receivables\Bill Presentment\

4. Clicked on the Edit link below the Invoice Print report

5. It downloaded the rpt file.

6. Modified the report file and kept aside.

To customize the report

7. Go to xmlpserver with the url https://eemb-dev1.bi.em3.oraclecloud.com/xmlpserver

8. Navigate to the path Shared Folder\Financials\Receivables\Bill Presentment\ and click on more link below the report

9. Click on Customize icon and it created the Default Invoice report at Shared Folder\Custom\Financials\Receivables\Bill Presentment\

10. Navigated to the Custom path and click on Edit link below the report

11. Click on Add new Layout button

Here in the step 11 I see the below error instead navigating to the upload page.

'Error: Data Model does not contain sample data. Please edit Data Model and save with sample data.'

Thank you
Siva

In your data model for the BIP Report go to the Data tab and run a sample set of rows ... Click the Save as Sample Data button, then save the data model...

  • Thomas,

My company has just switched over to Oracle Financial and I'm used to writting SQL to retrieve data, so this is a completely different experience. Where do I find the tabs from your first picture?
