Connecting to OBIEE12C's Essbase instance using EAS

Hi,

I installed a full OBIEE12C instance and I would like to create an Essbase cube using EAS console.

Please refer to the following document which confirms the feasibility OBIEE 12c: What versions of Essbase Admin Services (EAS) , Essbase 12c can be used with OBIEE 12c (Doc ID 2226453.1)

Which components have to be installed to do so from OBIEE server? Is EAS console enough? Does a configuration is needed in weblogic.

Else do I have to connect from another environment, which components are then required (EAS console + EAS server) and which url to use? (server:1423, ...?)

As far as I know there isn't a standalone EAS install for either OBIEE 11g or EPM 11g.

As you can see in this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XOIgeLJLV4 , you need to connect to the 11g EAS instance and there you can link to your Essbase 12c.

Therefor it requires a full OBIEE 11g install.
