Currently we have OBIEE 12.2.1.4 version installed and patched till April 2021. (12.2.1.4.0 (Build BIPS-20201002204602 64-bit)

We are trying to update Mail settings to use office 365 smtp where TLS is enabled. What ever settings we try we are unable to integrate them? Anybody faced smiliar issue and able to resolve the issue?

Thanks that a precise version :)

But as I asked the other guy: WHAT is going wrong? What do the log files say?

    Thanks Christian for response.

Below is the error: [nQSError: 75025] Handshake failed when connecting to SMTP server using SSL. [[

And our settings are as below:

    SMTP Server: smto.office365.com

    Port: 587

Email address and User Name are same and we are providing password.

    Connection Security - STARTTLS

    SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com

  • Can you test your settings by using them somewhere else (another program/tool)?

Does the SMTP server have a public recognized SSL certificate?

I didn't check right now on an OBIEE (I don't have a 12c running), but I believe it was also possible to set all the details (the CA etc.).

SSL is always a lot of "fun", because it isn't as simple as it should be.

Our system is already on SSL, (Our certs are Self certs in DEV/Test and Wild Card certs in Prod).

Do i need to download certs from Microsoft and add them in my JKS file on server? Or Just add the new cert in a folder and add that location in Mail settings?

@User_D5ZV4 - We would request to create a new discussion with the details of the issue. This is a very old thread and issues are sometimes unique. Also, newer threads usually get better responses.Thank you.
