When i restarted all services in obiee12c bitools/bin/ using ./start script

I see bi_Server as Admin status not sure how this happened!

Name            Type            Machine                   Status

----            ----            -------                   ------

AdminServer     Server           <MachineName> RUNNING

bi_server1      Server         <MachineName> ADMIN

When I goto "Home >Summary of Environment >Summary of Servers >bi_server1" General Tab -> Advanced ->

Iam not sure if this can be changed i tried stopping and starting multiple times no change. Any pointers on how this can be done is appreciated.

Thanks,

Sai

  • Hi,

"Admin" mode is "help! help! something went wrong I can start but in a more or less useless way".

Admin mode will not allow you to make anything useful for OBIEE.

So open the log of the managed server and find why it start in admin mode

Yup i have changed on the JDBC Data Sources, Connection Pool URL:

this was pointing to wrong DB, corrected & restarted working fine now.

  • Cool

So just one extra stop: close the thread (for now still  This question is Not Answered.) and then enjoy your weekend
