Hi,

I have installed OBIEE 12c server edition in my desktop and installation was successful. I am able to open analysis.

However am unable to find shortcuts in Start - All Programs , under Obiee installation folder and also Catalog Manager.

Can anyone please guide where have all these placed now ?

Catalog Manager and Shortcuts.

Thanks,

LonaD

Should be in the bitools folder

    DOMAIN_HOME/bitools/bin/runcat

Here is a good doc if you have MOS access.

Thanks George, I found it in the installation folder with below location and am able to open it through runcat.cmd

    C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\bi\bitools\bin

Could you please tell me if there is a way to use this cmds as shortcut in All Programs.

    Hello LonaD,

    What's your OBIEE 12c Version?

For OBIEE 12.2.1.1 and higher, the Windows Service is created by default at the time of installation the service is named Oracle Business Intelligence [bi] ,it runs start.cmd in the background which allows you to logoff and keep components running and log for the service is located at: [DOMAIN_HOME]\bilogs\windowsService.log

Below KM document provide more information on same.

OBIEE 12c: How To Control OBIEE Components Via A Windows Service (Doc ID 2104179.1)

But since you are looking for shortcuts in All Programs you can create a custom folder and then drag and drop required executable files in there, more on same in below link

    Thanks

Oracle Business Intelligence 12.2.1.2.0  and it didn't prompt for any shortcut during installation.

For now i dragged shortcut and pinned it to start Menu as per the doc you shared me.

    Thank you Syed
