Error while launching a report

Hi everyone , i am working with the online-mode in oracle administration tool ,

when i go to my report to drag and drop the mesure , i have this error :  ( i can read there is a data base conneciton problem , but i connect to the db without any problem )

If anyone can help me to diagnostic the problem , i would be very thankful

    Hi,

    When you work online and import the database tables with the wizard etc. you are working with the setting on your laptop/workstation. If you use a connection based on a tns name (as apparently it is the case), you use your local definition of TNS names.

    The server probably doesn't know what these TNS are, where they point, so it gives you back the ORA-12543.

    It can also be connection issues like firewalls etc. (being different when running from your laptop/workstation or the BI server).

    a) That's not "online-mode in administration tool" - that's Visual Analyzer.

    b) That's not a "report" - that's a Visual Analyzer project.

    c) "you can connect" to the database doesn't mean anything if the server running the RPD can not access the database.
