OBIEE Clustering RPD/WEbCatalog

Hi ,

We are trying to configure horizontal clustering for OBIEE (11.1.1.7.161018). When we are trying to deploy RPD using enterprise manager , the rpd is not available on the shared location instead it is deployed in its usual local location .

The set up is able to read the catalog from shared location and we have not received any error for this activity.

Request to help for this issue and provide reference to any whitepaper/docs for step by step configuration of clustered application.

    Its normal behaviour in 11G. You don't see the RPD in shared folder. It should deploy to both the servers. Check that.

    Hi Venkanta,

    Thank you for the reply.

    We have few more question regarding the behaviour of the components in clustering.

    On trying to connect the RPD online by a clustered DSN created on Admin tool ,the RPD opens in Read-Only mode only.

    Also the secondary node RPD opens up by default instead of the primary one.

    Is it the normal behaviour of the clustercontroller ?

    Can we open the RPD online to modify ? 'Disallow RPD Updates' is unchecked.

    We have not received any error for this activity.

    OBIEE Version : 11.1.1.7.161018.
