How to pass parameter from one report to another report using Action Links

Hi Friends,
We have a dashboard with a page, in it we have prompts and a single summary report.
This summary report has an action link on an Acct number, which opens a detail report.
Now, I have created new report which should open when I click on the Acct Number of summary report passing the Acct Number to new report.
So please can you guide me in passing the parameter to other report using Action Links or filter based on other report.
Thank you.

Hi,
First this topic is asked once or twice per week, so you definitely will find a lot by searching in the forum.
If you add an action link to navigate to another analysis on your account number column the value is passed automatically. You just need to have that column in the target analysis and use it as filter ("is prompted" or with a default fixed value and the passed one will replace that default one if not protected).

Thanks Gianni for your prompt reply.
In my case, I am having a situation where the existing report and new report are built on different Subject Areas.
So in this case how do you pass the Acct number from one to new report.
Will GO URL can solve the problem?
If yes, can you share me the details?

Does this one give you some hints? How to navigate to child report based on value in parent report.
