Hello Gurus,

I am facing some issues while trying to apply patch for Weblogic for BUG 13351178.

Currently I am using Weblogic 10.3.5.0

The issue is I am unable to get the details of the extracted file in Smart Update GUI.

The details are as below:

OS: Windows Server 2008 R2, 64 Bit

Patch extracted at: <MW_Home>\utils\bsu\cache_dir

Attaching relevant files below:

1. Screen to show the downloaded files:

Bug_13351178_1.png

2. Screen showing issue with Smart Update. Smart Update is not showing the files i had kept in the default location as per the oracle document.

Request you to kindly help me resolve the issue. Any useful pointers are also appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best Regards

    Dear Team,

I had tried to use the command line as well for the same, but for some reason I was getting the error  "Encountered unrecognized patch ID: 11IF".

I have attached the screenshot for the same as well:

    Hello,

    Thanks for the post.

Please find below options to resolve this issue -

    A

    1. Start BSU GUI

    2. Choose File > Preferences.

The Preferences dialog box is displayed ----> Patch download directory.

Change the patch download dir to the default MW_HOME/utils/bsu/cache_dir

    B.

Please check MOS - Diagnosing "Encountered unrecognized patch ID" Failures When Trying to Patch WLS Using BSU (Doc ID 1186923.1)

    Thanks a lot Prashant.

I guess it was a version issue as the new update of Smart Update worked fine.
