Application Roles

Hi,
We create LDAP connection so users can login to system. When user login to system, I checked "My Account-> Applicaton Roles" tab and Group name not written in list.
I should see "BI_REPORT_MAKER" , also I created in EM .
How can I bring "BI_REPORT_MAKER" group in list? Where should I check?
Thank you,

Hi,
You title the thread "application roles" and then talk about "groups" all the time ...
So are you looking for groups (which has been totally and finally removed in 12c after having been deprecated for quite some time) or application roles?
What is your "BI_REPORT_MAKER" ? A LDAP group or an application role you created in EM?
If the latter, did you assign some users / groups (or other application roles) as members of that application role? Are you sure your user is supposed to be member of one of these?

Just to add to Gianni's reply: WEGROUPS aka Catalog Groups have been removed.
But he has a valid point: you need to understand the security principles and the words that you are using to describe your issue.
a) "GROUP" = a security realm principal of type group. Like an LDAP group or an MSAD group. This is the generic security world mostly residing outside of the fucntional application perimeter
b) "ROLE" = a application role which translates the outside security world into the actual security of the application with regards to functionality, content, data etc.

Hi @Gianni Ceresa, BI_REPORT_MAKER is both LDAP group and Application role in EM.
Users were assigned.

To what? Do the users come over the security provider already linked to that group? Or did you assign them manually to the role? Also: Was the group properly assigned to the role?

The good thing with Christian is that half (and more) of the time we would reply the same thing asking the same things
