can OBIEE connect to HBASE with odbc generic drivers?

I need to consume hbase data with OBIEE. Is there any chance?

Way 2: OBIEE can access literally anything through ODBC. Just do it and you will see what works and what may pose problems due to the drivers.

Hi Christian,
Thanks for your quick response. About the 2 options that you propose I have 2 problems:
1. The version of OBIEE in production is 11.1.1.6.12
2. Can OBIEE work together with Simba (http://www.simba.com/drivers/)?

ad 1.) 11.1.1.6 is way too old for native connections so the best thing you can hope for is to make it work over generic ODBC.
ad 2.) OBIEE can work with any ODBC driver either over 2.0 or 3.5 standards so you will have to give it a try just like we all do in here. No one can ever test all ODBC drivers in existence against all source types.
