Hi All ..

ver: 11.1.1.7.x

Why we get this error?

Do we need to create the datasoure ?  Will moving rpd and catalog from one env to another will not bring this info?

or some permission issue ?

regards

Yes you need to create it. No that is configuration and not rpd+wecat metadata and will not bring it over.

Or before as you want. BIP connections are pure BIP administration.

Thanks .one more thing.. while we copy the catalog do we need to copy the .lck file as well?

Can we copy the catalog and rpd from source server while system is up? I mean hot copy.

I would definitly recommend you not do that. Better script it properly via the runcat command or take the copy when the OBIPS service is stopped.

If the service isn't using the catalog there should be no .lck at all
