Use Essbase as data source, when displaying both member and alias columns can we have alias columns
Use Essbase as data source, when displaying both member and alias columns can we have alias columns as hierarchy drill down instead of member columns in OBIEE 12c.

No, this functionality does not exist.
This would be one of my pet niggles.
The flat lists that provide no clue as to level in the hierarchy make Essbase in OBIEE not a great option, so much so that I once resorted to full data and metadata extracts / import to Oracle DB to provide the kind of functionality you would hope OBIEE would be giving, given that both OBIEE and Essbase are core Oracle BI offerings.
My rdbms version was faster to run, easy to write reports against and considerably more flexible as I also flagged leaf level members, as well as bringing parent / child through to the subject area.
Oracle - wake up and smell the java - you have a lot of clients who want this!

Only way to get this is to tell it to the Product Managers. Or have a client important enough and complain long enough to their account manager.

And how do you get the 'ears' of the product managers?
I have worked for a number of blue chips but I have yet to see the client who actually influences Oracle, do they live next to Larry in the bay?

By talking to them when you meet them and send them repeated emails
