getting error while configuring Map Viewer
Hello Expert,
I am getting error in Map report.
I have went to mapviewer admin console and tried to check the logs present over there and getting below error
oracle.sdovis.ds.NativeOracleDataSource <init>
SEVERE: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor
java.sql.SQLException: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor
OBI Version - 12.2.1.1.0
Database version - Oracle 12c

Mmhhh, sounds quite obvious: you get an Oracle database error because of the TNS not aware of the used SID. So fix your DB connection and the problem will be fixed (or give you a different one )

Hello Gianni,
You are correct its the SID error, but currently our database has moved to new platform of Oracle 12c and as per the DBA guys they are telling you are not suppose to SID rather than start using service name.
I tried to google it, how to use service name rather than SID in OBI map-viewer, but no luck.
Please let us know if you have any idea ?

Hello,
Thanks for your suggestion, we have created a connection with Service name. But now map is coming up but no layers.
We have check the map log and getting this error:-

WARNING: Cannot obtain connection stats: Connection Cache with this Cache Name does not exist
We tried to search everything on google but no luck.
I am wondering what is wrong with layers now.
Why no layer is getting displayed.
Can you please please help.
