    Thank you Christian Berg,

if i summarize your suggestion, are you trying to say, use "Visual Analyzer" instead of "Analysis" ?

i just create pie graph with Visual Analyzer and it populate graph as i need, even better .

Exactly. Zero configuration or hacking needed. Out-of-the-box always wins.

  • Don't want to be annoying but ... make sure you have the right to use Visual Analyzer: if you come from 11g you don't get it included by default in your previous license but it's an extra thing to buy ...

I'm planning to have a look at Oracle JET also which i think is used by for VA visualizations. Looks like a pretty good tool to enhance answers analyses and I think with it you should be able to resolve the OP's requirement as well.

  • Yes, DV/VA uses JET, so that's a JET thing. The main difference is that Oracle took care of the integration and interactions (filtering, drills etc.) while by hand in JET it's going to be a bit more complex.

But JET as a concept is clearly interesting, a bunch of JS libraries all packaged together and for free. I just find it "too big" sometimes with all the things they put inside.

    Hi Islam,

Are you able to achieve this in OBIEE 12c, i have similar requirement where users want to see data inside slices in OBIEE.

If you find the solution please let me know.

The solution has been posted and marked as such: Data Visualization does it out of the box.

If you want that in Answers you need to use some custom visualization in D3js or JET.

    Thanks Gianni for the update.

Using VA is an option however that requires additional licensing Cost.

Now if we look into OBIEE itlself , as Islam said, is it possible if we change the graph.xml after creating custom container ?
