OBIEE 12C and Essbase 11.1.2.4 integration issue
Can I import data from Hyperion Essbase 11.1.2.4 to Obiee 12c?

When i try to connect to essbase server in bi admin tool i get
1)The connection has failed. Essbase error XXXX
2)In some cases i can see cubes from Essbase Server but when I try to import one of then admin tool crashes

WORKAROUND
I always created 2 ENV VARS
ARBORPATH=c:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\bi\clients\Essbase\EssbaseRTC
ESSBASEPATH=c:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\bi\clients\Essbase\EssbaseRTC
or
ARBORPATH=c:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient
ESSBASEPATH=c:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient
I always added to Path path to appropriate client bin folder
I always added
set ARBORPATH=...
set ESSBASEPATH=...
to c:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\bi\bifoundation\server\bin\admintool.cmd

What are the exact settings in the RPD? Which version did you put there in the metadata? Sometimes it is sufficient to change that to remove all errors. Maybe it's just using the wrong commands based on the version selection.

Did anybody connect to any Essbase Server via Bi Admin Tool (may be to embedded essbase 12) from obiee 12c(12.2.1.3 or 12.2.1.4)?
May it is described in any Oracle Official Docs?

In 12.2.1.3 and 12.2.1.4 versions of BI importing Essbase cubes doesnt work (for me) by default or with my workarounds.
In 12.2.1.2 (after applying some patches(not for essbase just for BI working and starting with no issues)) it works by default.
I wont close this topic in case of anybody will be able to import Essbase cube into BI repository

Even we are having the same issue.
In 12.2.1.4 versions of BI importing Essbase cubes doesn't work by default.

We opened the SR and waiting for oracle to respond.

As per Oracle SR, Solution is to use OBIEE 12.2.1.3 Admin Tool as OBIEE 12.2.1.4 Admin tool is not certified with imports from Essbase Version 11.1.2.4.X per Per BUG 27376664 and certification Doc ID 1109260.1
