Refresh RPD Variable from Front End

Question

Hello all,

Does anyone know a way to refresh OBIEE RPD variable via Answers front end? There are a few RPD variable which are set to refresh at 1min at the moment but this is causing a lot of load of the database.

If there is a way which can allow end user to refresh the RPD variables when needed would resolve this issue.

e.g. use some script or a function to refresh the variables

We are currently on OBIEE 11G

There isn't a "click here" option of course, so it's up to you to code the pieces to get there, but it's doable.
