Hi All,

On loading my OBIEE 12c dashboard page, I get the following error:

Error 401--Unauthorized

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:

And then pressing F5, i.e on Page refresh, the error is gone and dashboard loads successfully.

Can anyone please provide a solution how to fix this error?

Great Thanks,

Dolly

It would help if you were being exact on the version you are using, the browser you are using, the exact browser version and so on.

If you look at MOS Doc ID 2070465.1 you will see that at the moment we are already at 19 (nineteen) "12c" versions. Now multiply this with 5 browsers and 5 versions per browser ... easy maths that makes 19 x 5 x 5 = 475 possible combinations.

I am using Oracle Business Intelligence 12.2.1.2.0 and facing the issue on IE 11and Google Chrome Version 65.0.3325.181 (Official Build) (32-bit) . We are using these 2 browsers in our organization so, testing is being done on them only.

Can u please give me a solution?

Error 401 is common error for un-authorized access.. It can happen in multiple scenarios.. some of them below

    1. If you just started server, trying to access url immediately before starting..

    2. You are not using correct obiee url.

    3. url is not registered properly in your network tns or in firewall white list

    4. saw.dll is not routing url properly. May be server permission issue..

    Hope these helps

    Hi,

    Thanks for replying!

If I consider 3. and 4. can you please guide me how to register the url properly in network or how can I check if saw.dll is not routing properly?

    Thanks!
