Hi All,
I am trying to develop report but facing below challenges
a. Report doesn’t follow any consistent /specific hierarchy to be shown in the report
b. Some of the income / expense / provision lines needs to be shown with all Levels L1, L2 and L3
c. Few of them needs to be shown with specific line items / combination from the 3 levels. Showing one combination and hiding other combinations is getting difficult from the underlying levels.
d. Few needs only aggregation to be done instead of showing multiple underlying levels
For better understanding attaching the sample report and underlying data.Kindly help to resolve.

Hi,
Not sure what you exactly expect to get ...
First would be good to know if you want to do a report (Publisher) or an analysis (OBIEE Answers).
Then keep in mind OBIEE isn't Excel, if you want an Excel behaviour keep using Excel and Smartview also exists for that reason.
PS: I thought Oracle employees were required to have "-Oracle" or "-Orcl" in their forum name ...

Hi Gianni,
It is an analysis.(report will be based on user choice)
The excel which i have attached is only the sample to explain what i want to achieve in the report.
The Report needs to be developed with different layers. the layers has been shown in the excel 'Report Layout'. The right side in the excel shows the underlying data from dimension and fact tables. The left side in the excel is the report to be developed .
Please go through the Remark column int he excel to understand the challenge

Still a total contradiction since "report" and "analysis" point to two completely different technologies!
"report" = BI Publisher
"analysis" = OBIEE
