Rollback procedure from OBIEE 12.2.1.4 back to 12.2.1.0

We did an OBIEE upgrade from 12.2.1.0 to 12.2.1.4. The upgrade procedure went through fine without any error. However, after the upgrade, nqsserver.exe kept on crashing and we have no way of bring the system back up. We are waiting for Oracle support to guide us through finding the issue in 12.2.1.4. At this time, we are waiting for response from development team, which is taking a long time.
Due to time constraint, we would like to also evaluate if it's feasible to rollback to 12.2.1.0. Does anyone has experience on how to downgrade? Is there any documentation on how to rollback after the upgrade?
We did take a snapshot on OBIEE application server. However, we did not take snapshot on the database side. I am afraid there are multiple changes in the database too and cause issue when we use the old VM snapshot.
Thanks!

Rolling back an upgrade basically means restoring your backup from before you started the upgrade work. That's the only procedure.

Thank you Christian. Yup, that makes sense. Unfortunately, we did not take a backup of the repository database, and it looks like it made some changes. That's the reason why I am hoping there is another alternative to downgrade.
Thanks!

That's unfortunate. So probably re-install the old version and use the backed up rpd, webcat etc
