Hi All,

I have an OBIEE report, on which we have implemented row-level security and hence when a user accesses this report, he can only view data which is related to his department.

I want to automate this on my end, such that a periodic job will execute and send this report to users, which contains data corresponding to his department/role.

Does anyone have suggestions/examples on how to achieve this?

    Hi,

    You have an OBIEE analysis, right? (And not a BI Publisher report: analysis = OBIEE Answers, report = BI Publisher)

    You can do what you look for by creating an agent, select the analysis you want to deliver, select the users to whom you want to send the analysis and you set the agent to be run as recipient. By selecting this option OBIEE will execute the analysis as every single recipient and send them the result, so your row level security will be applied automatically without doing anything else.

    Nice name but it would be even nicer if we had teh impression of talking to a human being and not a number.

    For your issue:

    1.) "analysis" - not "report". As Gianni pointed out, these are totally different things.

    2.) Also as already mentioned, the solution is simply the "Run As Recipient" checkbox:

    Maybe easier with a screenshot.

    3.) It would be nice if you came back to your thread and looked at the answers in order to mark then as correct or helpful so that other forum users can benefit as well.
