Hi,

I have an agent which send out an Analysis as an attachment in the email.

When I open the analysis through the OBIEE dashboard, I have to click the arrow button to navigate to the next pages to look at the complete data.

But when the email is sent, it shows only the first page in the attached PDF or XLS.

Is there a way that I make changes to settings such that all the data is displayed in email attachment instead of only the first page of data.

Thanks,

Sai

    Dear SaiKK,

Please make changes as per the below screenshot:

You need to go to your analysis and select "Print & Export Options" --> Change "Print Rows" from "VISIBLE" to "ALL".

This will export all the records in the email.

    Hope this helps.

Please mark this as resolved if this helps.

    Dear SonPat99,

    Thanks for your response.

After I made these changes, I could see all the records on the report. But the attachment in the email still shows first few records only.

Do you know if I need to make any more changes.

    Thanks,

    Sai

What is the format of your attachment?

Can you please create a new agent and test this?

    EDIT:
If this is a Dashboard, you will need to do similar settings in the DASHBOARD Properties for PRINT Options.

    Hi SonPat99,

I created a new agent to test this, but my attachment still doesn't show all the records. where as the dashboard shows all records.

    Attachment type is PDF.

I have tried to set the DASHBOARD's Print options to Visible ALL. But still no luck.

This is one of the reports on Dashboard, hence for Content I am choosing Dashboard Page.

Thank you for your help. Could you please guide me further.

    Best Regards,

Those settings do not control how much data is allowed to be sent through agents.

Every week we have minimum one or two threads on this kind of subject and the answer is - in 99% of the cases - in the documentation itself:

    Hi Christian Berg,

Should I be changing the attribute <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery> or <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>?

Also I understand this will be effective to all the agents sending out data.

    Thanks,

    Sai

Yes these settings are across the whole server, so all agents, all downloads etc. There is no configuration way of changing these settings on a one-by-one basis.

Best way to find the right ones for you is: try it out. Some of your users will want embedded content in the email rather than an attachment. Some will want an attachment. Some will want to download from the dashboard. Some will want to download as CSV.

You have all the parameter available and all it takes to verify it is changing the instanceconfig and bouncing OBIPS.
