OBIEE 12c prevent end users from using Data Visualization

Hi All,
We have some licensing restrictions, and we can't use Data Visualization module.
Question: How can we prevent end users from using Data Visualization in OBIEE 12c (12.2.1.4.0) and ensure that we will not to violate the license agreements?
Cheers!!

Oracle Support Document 2102444.1 (How To Remove Or Add Specific OBIEE 12c Data Visualization | Visual Analyzer Permissions And Access) can be found at: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?id=2102444.1

Thanks Joel,
So it's a matter of configuring privileges the right way or stop the deployment. Maybe we could remove VA deployment as well ...
We would have to be careful with that.
Many thanks!

a) No, not privileges but Application Policies
b) Interesting that you marked this correct since that support document is not correct when you talk about 12.2.1.4 so I guess you didn't actually try to disable VA/DV yet
Sorry @Joel Acha nothing against your response but you know I like precision in here

That’s fair enough!

Thank you Christian for your remark.
I haven't tried to to disable VA/DV yet.
But the note says:
APPLIES TO: Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition - Version 12.2.1.0.0 and later
I will take a look at this once the environment is accesisble. According to below note it should be resolved in 12.2.1.4 ...
BI User should not be able to create VA project. Visual Analyzer link removed from create menu. Corrected in post 12.2.1.2 version.Backports available for 12.2.1.2 on-premises only, see Patch 24961623">Patch 24961623 to remove Visual Analyzer link from menu
Cheers!

"and later"...yeah it doesn't :-)
12.2.1.4 introduced all DV v4 changes to on-premises OBIEE and so needs a different security setup. The permission sets have changed.

So what would be the right solution to achieve what is being asked in this thread? Is Oracle SR required?

I'm following up this thread have some questions around it .....is it that customer has to take license to use VA feature of 12.2.1.4 after upgrading from 12.2.1.2? thanks

You'll have to revoke the application policy (permission set actually) "va.author" AND the perm set "va.admin" from all application roles it is assigned to.

If you didn't have the license before you also don't have it afterwards. Licensing has nothing to do with the technical revoking of rights.
