OBIEE 10g - Aix 6.1 to 7 upgrade

Problem Description

we have a obiee 10g version running in aix 6.1 operating system. Now our unix team gonna upgrade it to Aix 7. Can you please revert and let us know if the 10g is compatible with the aix 7 operating system.

obiee 10.1.3.3.2 (build 071217.1900)

AIX (6100-09-04-1441) to AIX 7

    It is not on the certification matrix beyond AIX 6.1, but then OBIEE 10g is not supported either....

    You really should be upgrading!

    Hello Robert,

    Thanks for the reply. The Source for this BI environment will be replaced by a new system in upcoming months. So the upgrade to 12c will be a wastage

    Just like it will be to upgrade AIX 6.1 to 7 for a system you are going to decommission in few months.

    And as Robert said it isn't in the certification matrix, so you are all by your own if you still want to try the upgrade of AIX. And Oracle isn't going to help you in case of issues as OBIEE 10g is out of support generally.

    IMHO lot of work and risks for something not worth it ...
