Hi guys,
I am trying to send an analysis through an agent on email. I have configured the email on Oracle EM and restarted my services, but my alerts are still not sending emails.

Have you checked the logs? Have you checked what's happening on the mail server? Does it (the mail server) even allow receiving emails from OBI and sending them out?

That sounds like a connection issue to your mail server. I'd get you network guys to check if your OBIEE server has access to the mail server.

Joel i tried to follow this document but i cant find the telnet command in my terminal.
Can you suggest how to telnet?

You didn't mention which version of OBIEE or which OS it is running on. As mentioned, you'd need the assistance of your network team to help you out with this as they should be able to figure out the route cause of your SMTP server connectivity issue.

Telnet is working now it was a network side error. But now i face new error when i test my agent.
Eventually succeeded, but encountered and resolved errors...

I have resolved my issue.
telnet issue was due internal network permission.
the other issue was solved by following
