That's how things work. If you export a dashboard you export "the dashboard". You don't export N different and complete data streams!

I don't think anyone has said it out loud or explicitly so far

Hi ,
edit dashboard and from "Tools" menu , go to "Print & Export Options"
if you set "Print Rows" option to "All" , you can download all records from dashboard like table export.

True, but dashboards should be built for data consumption and visual analysis. No mass data dumping. It's a dangerous path to go down.

Mass data dumping; - verb - to provide large amounts of data to those with limited skills in data handling and tools ill suited to the task to produce reports of un-certifiable quality or with the aim of direct consumption of inorganically large volumes of data within the finite resources of human rationality, perception and attention.

I agree with you , dashboards should be built for data consumption and visual analysis
However , that's the way to export all rows from dashboard export. If someone want this , has to follow these steps.

Of course, you're entirely right. I just know what can of worms you're opening when you shown that to a client.
