filter inside an analysis

Hi,
I'm totally new to OBIEE so sorry inadvance for the stupid questions that will follow.
I created an analysis wthat provides a pivot table which indicates the sum the average time spent and the amount who exceed this average time spent.
Now i want to show a second table with only the ones who exceed the time spent ( formula gives 1 when exceeded, 0 when not exceeded)
Where can i set an filter on that table without influencing my pivot?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Christoph

The quick way is to place your "Exceeded/Not exceeded" column into the table prompt area.
If you want to go further, select the "New Calculated item..." on the column options, choose the "Exceeded" value, name it, then "Hide Details"/ "in current view" options.

Your other alternative is to use filters in the function palette, an approach I typical use if I am manually putting together KPI type measures that do not exist in the rpd / subject area.

Where is tat function palette you're talking about?
and won't that effect my pivot table?0 -
Function palette is what you open when you edit a column in answers, accessed via the control that looks like a cog at the side of the column in question in the first pane in answers.
Your pivot table would not change if you edit an existing column, but would need editing to include a new column if you start anew for the 'field'.

That's what Robert's talking about. The little f(...) button calls up the function palette.
