Two users view with mask
Hi everyone ,
I have 2 users to connect to the BI report and one data model. One user will see the columns in the report with mask the other user without the mask for same report.
How can i do it ? Is it possible?
Thx,

You mean like this ->

One option would be to have 2 columns defined in your repository.
one with data
one with masked data
In your analysis, you can use a CASE statement in the column formula to identify which user is running the analysis and then select which presentation column to display. I would suggest that the users are derived from groups/application roles rather than users themselves.

No offence to the other two guys, but that's out-of-the-box / vanilla / standard functionality. You just put access permissions on the presentation column.
Can't get more basic than that.
Also: it's an "analysis". Not a "report". "reports" are BI Publisher objects and a different technology alltogether.

You did what? Is your topic closed? Which path did you choose? Can you mark the answer that was correct?
