Hello Experts,

We have OBIEE 12.2.1.4.0 on Linux . On the Catalog screen, on the right pane we can see the objects and some additional information like last modified timestamp & who the object owner is . How can we restrict this information so Only the object name (Sample Sales Lite ) is displayed. Also, there is an icon to change list view type. Is it possible to default this value to "List" and hide it ? , so that only the object names are displayed and there is no option to change it. We are trying to see if we can apply this setting to BI Consumer Role. Please advise.

Thank You in advance.

As far as I'm aware, out of the box, you can't do what you want but to take a few steps back, what  is it that you're trying to achieve?

    Hi Joel

    Thank You for responding.

I am trying to restrict the information displayed on the Catalog page to look like this -

  • What you look for doesn't exist out of the box. There isn't any privilege that manage that.

Catalog privileges define what you are allowed to see or not in the catalog and for every single object (the links to edit or expand or not).

From a functional point of view I'm not sure what you try to achieve, sounds like a cosmetic thing, in that case you will have to develop your own "catalog" page to make it looks as you want.

Thanks Gianni. Yes, you are correct in saying that this is more of a cosmetic need that anything.
