Will Bin function work in OBIEE when using Essbase as source

Bin() expression in OBIEE. When using Essbase doesn't work. (see Bin() tab for example of a simpple Bin exercise). We don't receive an error, just nothing is ever drawn.
It is working when oracle tables are source but need to check and confirm if it will work on Essbase as source.

Can you please share the syntax that you have used. We were using like this BIN(Revenue By Product INTO 5 BINS).

It was a bog-standard dimensional attribute based binning:

I am not talking about BINS but BIN Aggregate Function. These 2 are separate functionality.

Ok that wasn't clear. Sorry. No Essbase running right now. Will need to spin up an instance.
