You’ll need to provide more information including the version of OBIEE, the OS, the actual error message and where possible, screenshots.

Have you you looked at log files for any clues?

What is the exact ODBC error? I think that might be of use here to help you with your issue. There are hundreds of ODBC errors so it would help if you can provide all the information you have. Has this analysis ever worked? Which log files have you looked at?

By the way, Windows 7 is a client OS (OBIEE is enterprise server software and doesn't work on client installations) and not a server OS - @Christian Berg has blogged about this reoccurring issue - https://dimensionality.ch/2017/05/06/installing-oracle-bi-on-windows-7-8-10/

  • I guess you have to take a step back and describe the whole case like if you were describing it to somebody not knowing at all what OBIEE is.

You assume we all see your screen in the thread at the moment, which obviously isn't the case, so you really need to turn all that "implicit expected knowledge of your issue" into words and pictures (screenshots!).

@4004093 Same answer as in Stack Overflow: Get trained.

It is literally impossible to claim mastery of something as complex as an analytical platform without training.
