Hello All,

I am quite new to OBIEE and need to know about sizing of OBIEE Metadata (RPS) in typical Data warehouse environment.

I am currently involved in capacity planning for one Analytics product and need to explore metadata size.

I came to know OBIEE metadata is contained within RPD.

I have considered 2 Core processors for application server and 4 for database server based on raw data size in database server.

Need to know how much physical space will need for RPD in such case. Where RPD metadata is being stored ultimately? Is it in database server and what can me min, max and average size for RPD as per Industry standards.

    Hi,

    You maybe want to google (and search MOS) for documents about that as otherwise you will end up with some random figures.

    The RPD will be counted in Mb (1-10-100) on disk, that's it. It isn't a database thing at all. The size of the RPD depends on you and what and how you model things inside. As it's metadata it's size is negligible.
