Dude I try what's written X-D
I'll try more later. Not sure if scanning all ports beforehand is a good idea

Don't scan anything Christian and just trust me: port = 443
(I'm using all the webservices of that instance on port 443 for some auditing and it's a standard cloud-like setup with a proxy in front of OBIEE to expose the standard HTTPS port)

Ok

Gianni, I think you are saying that https://adc3-zdfi-fa-ext.oracledemos.com:443/xmlpserver should work. Unfortunately, no. Same error as before.

It's more to make sure Christian has the same error as you (as I still don't have the add-in, fighting some internal battles with my Office setup).
In the picture he posted the connection was on HTTPS but port 80, which make the test not valid imho.
If he has the same error as you, it probably means that there isn't any issue on your side (never know, a firewall or another security could jump in and prevent the add-in from connecting). Just trying to exclude options as no one of us controls that demo instance and can't affirm / confirm what is supposed to work or not.

Back at this laptop with the working add-in. With 443 I get a credentials issue:

It seems like the account is locked or something. I had that once some days ago already. Hopefully they will unlock it soon.

Christian and Gianni, thank you both for the effort. It's always good to have one or both of you contributing. I tell my OBIEE students that when they see an answer from either of you, they can count on that answer being pretty much the best that can be found. They may not like that answer, but...
Thanks, guys.
P.S. to Gianni: I don't know if this helps your situation, but I was having trouble with the add-in on Office 365 for Business. I posted a question in this forum, and learned that the add-in is not yet certified with Office 365 for Business. However, it is does work with Office 365 Home and Business, and with earlier versions of MS Office.

I now feel very sorry for those students
By the way: do you maybe have a link or a reference where the credentials and address of this demo instance is posted? I wasn't aware of it and it's good to know there can be OTBI demo instances around when needing to check a thing quickly.
My fight with Office is more generic, before to accept something as a bug Microsoft is making me go through install and uninstall of the whole suite 2 times a day ...
And good that you posted this as I was looking at Office 365 to maybe get rid of my issues.
