I saw/heard/read multiple contrasting things about that. Really difficult to 100% affirm the issue wasn't the person running the command

Also versions (releases + bundle patch) could have had an impact on that.

All in all, knowing those commands can be quite powerful and could, potentially, destroy everything you developed, I would make sure to have a valid backup before to run them (which is probably just common sense)
