Putting Content Download link on Dashboard

Question

In OBIEE 12 Catalog

It is possible to upload files such as an Excel file.

The catalog will display a download link for the user to download the file from the server.

I would like to put the download link on a dashboard for my end-users.

How should I do it?

It is not available from the Catalog to be dropped on a dashboard since it is not BI Content.

It can not be retrieved via a Go url since it is not BI Content

Not that I'm aware of, you would need to open a SR hoping they find it useful to put those things into a document.

Is there a list of saw.dll actions like downloadFile listed somewhere.  My client would prefer the list be from Oracle.  I don't recall seeing downloadFile documented, and my client gets panicky if I use anything that I can't point to the documentation of.

You simply enter a link to the object: /analytics/saw.dll?downloadFile&path=<path of the file in the catalog>

Add that as an HTML link or write it as a HTML content in a text object or anything else.
