Ttake a look at @Christian Berg‘s blog to explain your issue. In a nutshell, OBIEE will only run properly on a server OS.

Thank you Joel . Need to know how to resolve the issue and I referred to the blog you referred but no help on this is communicated there . This started happening only after windows 7 regular updates are installed . Any idea what might have caused this issue ?

The cause is that you installed a SERVER software - actually a whole server farm - on a DESKTOP operating system.

A server and a desktop OS are as different as a chainsaw and a scalpel. A medical professional will know that a wart is better cut out using a scalpel. A professional lumberjack will know that a tree is better not cut down said scalpel even though it's also a "thing that cuts". Same concept holds true for IT that's why certifications and supported platform documents exist. Disregard on your own peril.

I think you are not understanding basic concept here . there is no rule that you cannot install complete

server on desktop machine . If you know answer just say I know and how to resolve . i beileve no one in the group would like to hear your lullby responses .

I have this server running game on my machine from past 2+ years . Don’t tell rules when you have no patience to read them .
